Relationships
TagLove Is…
Love is written, talked about, in multitudinous ways. Taking center stage are God’s love and man’s love. Often depicted as being bestowed upon some, and held back from others. Requiring certain ceremonial acts, and/or having hidden conditions connected to that attainment.
What is Love?
WHAT IS LOVE? The first element of love is RESPECT. The second is TRUST, and the third is GRATITUDE.
Relationship = +/-
While the word “relationship” is typically defined as the fixed association between people, a more interesting discussion takes place when we view a “relationship” as a profound and advanced set of association and consider the movement and fluidity the new identity reveals.
Be True
“Let there be spaces in your togetherness, and let the winds of the heavens dance between you.” – Kahlil Gibran
“I will not Die but Live”…
It is Easter again. This is the most important days for us Christians. In fact, it is more important than Christmas because if Christ did not suffer, die and rise again, then there would have been no salvation. For us Christians, death is not the graduation but a commencement. Just the thought that death is not a closure but an opening is a tremendous source of hope.
Astonished and Amazed…
Was walking around Brisbane with a friend one day and saw this shop called “Broken Hearted Cafe”. Astonished and amazed and thinking about James Taylor’s old song. I jokingly made a comment saying; maybe I should open one next door called ‘I Fix Broken Hearts Cafe’ specializing in comforting, repairing and restoring of people’s hearts that has been broken.
Once in Your Life…
“Life tells you nothing, it shows you everything.” – Richard Bach. Only once in your life (some may think differently), I truly believe, you find someone who can completely turn your world around.
Is it all worth it?
COMMITMENT is not a light switch that goes from “off” to “on.” When building a relationship with someone, the level of commitment gradually increases. Commitment in a relationship is complicated in that it takes two people, and it requires an alignment of FACT (events, actions) and ATTITUDE (thoughts, beliefs) for both of them.
Aliah’s Desire… “Revival and Unity”
We are living in days of great opportunity. Many of us have prayed and prayed that God would break out with a move of His Holy Spirit that would not only revolutionise the church but would be a catalyst for a spiritual awakening in our city at large.
On Belonging to a Family
One of the very wonderful things of life is a sense of belonging. And one of the most wonderful things to belong to is a loyal and affectionate family – a family who have each their own individual activities and interests but who feel a real oneness with one another. There is much that a family can do with oneness, and much that without it is missed. There are so many things to join, so many things to do, so many things to take us away, but a loving and loyal family is still one of the most wonderful things in the world to belong to.
Allow them to walk their own path…
I’m sure there are people in your life whom you see acting in ways that upsets you. Watching our loved ones, family or a good friend traverse a path littered with stumbling blocks can be immensely painful. We instinctively want to guide them toward a safer track and share with them the knowledge and wisdom we have acquired through experience. Yet all human beings have the right to carve their own paths without being unduly influenced by outside interference.
It Isn’t Fair to Expect Perfection…
We live in a world of imperfection, and certainly there are no perfect people. And one of the surest ways to break up a home, to break up a marriage, to break up a friendship, a business, or any relationship in life, is tooveremphasize faultfinding.
The Meaning Of Love
For a long long time, I often wonder if people fully understand the ‘TRUE’ meaning of ‘LOVE’ not only in the secular world but sadly also in Christian community. After our fellowship last night it confirmed to me that not many do. It is sad especially when it is from the people who ‘POSED’ to be a servant of God.
How Do You Communicate Love?
Last Tuesday I was privileged of being able to attend the bible study at sister Gina and brother Albert’s place. I truly enjoyed it and have learnt a lot from it by just listening to other people’s view on whatever subjects we are discussing. One topic that we were sharing is the area of LOVE. Allow me to take my view that day further in the hope that we can come into a much deeper understanding of what I was trying to explain.
